Google Maps discovery

B2B databases barely cover laundromats, salons, clinics, gyms and studios. Google Maps does. This build turns a vertical and a geography into a normalized prospect list with name, domain, address, phone, rating and review count, ready for enrichment.

The problem

What was actually hard

Local-business ICPs are the segment most sales databases ignore, and the one most vertical SaaS companies sell into.

How it works

In order

  1. Define. a vertical and a geography in plain English.
  2. Pull. the Apify Compass actor runs the Maps search with cost estimated first and a prompt before any run over $10.
  3. Normalize. one record per business, the same shape the rest of the chain reads.
  4. Enrich. hand the list to qualification, signals and resolution.
Judgment calls

Decisions that made it work

  • Estimate cost before every run.Credits are money, and a Maps pull across a metro can get expensive fast. The skill prices the run and asks first.
What it did

Outcomes

The masterclass has 400+ views; the skill is the local-business entry point of Headless GTM and the discovery step of the Vertical Agent Pack.

Why it matters

The unglamorous segment where most vertical SaaS revenue actually lives.
